It is finished

I just finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. All I will say for the time being is that this was a masterful book with brilliant plot and character development.

Okay, I must pass the book off to my wife now. I want to talk about the book with her, but she will kill me if I spill the beans.

  1. My son (age 13) is about 1/3 of the way through the last book. He loves them! I showed him your blog and some of the previous comments. Like Eric I too had my initial concerns due to bad press by the overly pietistic sort. So I read the first book and was pleasantly surprised. They are not about promoting witchcraft and satanic rituals, but about the timeless values of loyalty, friendship and the like. I see it as little different than J.R.R. Tolkien’s trilogy in some respects.

BTW, thanks for not giving away the ending, especially to my son 🙂
